It's difficult,but I love the challenge. I think it is so important to learn the language. It makes things so much better. You still will have cultural challenges, but at least you're giving yourself a chance. I've been in some non tourist areas with native dominicans and 3 years ago Miguel took me en el campo with a domincan family. From that visit I learned there are a lot of good Dominican women and that the myth that most domincanas will get with you if you just throw some money around was so far from the truth. If you want a good woman you wouldn't throw your money around anyway.
